Definition
Designed to deploy upon sensing a significant change in motion airbags inflate in moments to cushion the impact of the driver or passenger.
Most vehicles have airbags installed in the steering wheel and passenger side of the dashboard, though there are many now with side airbags, which are located in the seats or doors and also curtain airbags which drop down from over the door.
